Meet Michael, professor of Chicano Studies, former Dean of Liberal Arts, and racial equity policy expert.
This spring he reviewed the MPS Comprehensive District Design and offered his analysis. He opposed the CDD for the following reasons:
-
lack of clarity around how it will be funded;
-
disruption to thousands of BIPOC students and families; and
-
Kim Ellison as Board Chair pushed it through in violation of District policy requiring an equity audit to determine whether the plan meets its goals.
